Tulsa's Centennial

This ornament honors Tulsa's Centennial (1898-1998). It features the Arkansas River with the rolling hills of Green Country in the background, overshadowed by the heart-shaped leaves of Oklahoma's native redbud tree. The very roots of Tulsa are represented by the Native American teepee, the bison and steer, and a cowhand on horseback. The oil derrick symbolizes Tulsa's long-standing reputation as "Oil Capitol of the World".
