The Tulsa Ornament for 1991 The Tulsa Zoo
This year’s ornament celebrates theTulsa Zoo and Living Museum. The Zoo is located on 78 landscaped acres in historic Mohawk Park. Nearly 1500 animals, covering 436 species, are housed alongside a variety of interactive and educational exhibits.

The backpiece showssome of the animals including the elephant "Gunda" exemplifying the Elephant Encounter exhibit. A graceful giraffe represents the African savanna and a Snow Leopard stands for many of the Zoo's rare and endangered animals.

The Zoo's Tropical American Rain Forest is symbolized by a toucan and a monkey. The front-piece shows the historic miniature train that encircles the park.
