This ornament honors the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and the revival of one of Tulsa's most beautiful landmarks.
The back piece shows the western facade of Tulsa Union Depot, built in 1931 in the famous Art Deco style. The exterior's massive, crisp geometric designs were inspired by machinery.
To mark its 75th anniversary, the once forgotten depot was again open to the public as the new home of the Oklahoma Jazz hall of fame. It has a performance hall with cabaret seating and a museum gallery with jazz photos, sculptures, and memorabilia honoring Oklahoma's great jazz, blues and gospel history./p>
The front piece features jazz and blues musicians and singers. Our new hall of fame is a cultural, historic, educational destination for all to enjoy.
