This ornament honors the Guthrie Green.
Tulsans have enjoyed the park's myriad activities and events: art, music, fitness, storytime, bocce ball, food trucks, and seasonal festivals. Named after folk hero Woody Guthrie and the many, varied "Green" technologies at work, our Guthrie Green is made possible by the George Kaiser Family Foundation.
The back piece view looks south from the Dock Pavilion, showing musicians at the open air stage. Below, on the lawn ampitheater, people exercise, or sit on chairs or blankets & enjoy the show. At the right are peaceful, tree-lined paths and at the left, people of all ages relish on the splash pad.
The front piece shows children playing at one the the four granite fountains & one having a quiet moment on an eastside bench.
